The British sports car manufacturer has introduced a new model 2019 McLaren Senna named after legendary F1 driver Ayrton Senni who defended exactly McLaren’s color. The Senna model is McLaren’s so far the most extreme car intended primarily for use on the racetrack, which also meets all the requirements for everyday road use.
McLaren successfully hiding a new model from the eyes of the public, all the way to the premiere, so the specific car design was revealed only on promotional photos and a short video:

There is no doubt that the British manufacturer has some stylish solutions that give special impetus to the amusement of sports car enthusiasts and that McLaren Senna will be recognizable among other related models wherever it appears.
In McLaren, the new 2019 McLaren Senna model is designed according to the principle that “the form follows the function,” so everything is subordinate to Senna having excellent driving characteristics, because, after all, it is still a car designed for the track, although it can legally ride public roads.
When it comes to the look of Senna, her definitely interesting design will not appeal to anyone, but when creating an exterior, the purpose was given an absolute advantage over the form. Some of the elements of the exterior are particularly distinguished by the large rear wing, diffuser, various cooling openings, some elements of the active aero package, the transparent part of the door, the Pireli P-Zero Trofeo R tires, carbon-ceramic discs.
That aerodynamics was the most important factor in shaping the exterior of the vehicle, shows a futuristic look at the bodywork – from the large front splitter to the bumper and numerous air intake hubs to the massive wing of the rear and nothing less a striking diffuser that occupies the entire surface of the rear bumper.
McLaren said that the final shape of the car came after a barefoot hour of testing in the air tunnel, and a particularly interesting stylish detail is the transparent door with a glass panel at the bottom.
The interior is minimalist and somewhat spartan, with an abundance of carbon fiber materials, a simplified digital instrument board, and yet an inevitable centrally positioned display of the multimedia system, while the engine start button, along with several other controls, is located on a panel placed above the mirror.
The seats are slim racing tubs also made of carbon waves, and each will be unique because it will be done according to the measures of the owner/driver.
Below the hood of 2019 McLaren Sennais more than interesting. As announced, the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 from the McLaren 720S was used, but in this release, the engine has 80 hp more. Thus, the maximum power of the drive unit is 800 hp and the maximum torque is 800 Nm. The standard equipment is a 7-speed automatic transmission with two clutches that transmits the power and moment on the backbone via the rear wheels.
Not only is Senna more powerful than the 720 hp, it is also easier for it, since it weighs only 1198 kg (-85 kg), which means its ratio of power and weight to 668 HP/kg. Woking has not yet revealed final data on the performance of this car, but it is expected that it will need up to 3 seconds for up to 100 km/h, and its top speed will be above 320 km/h.
And there will be a rare occurrence on the road, given that a limited limited-edition series of only 500 vehicles is planned. Therefore, it is no surprise that the entire production is in advance sale (the starting price of this car is 750,000 pounds).
The last copy was given to his owner after a charity auction where the car was sold for 2 million pounds, and all the proceeds were paid to the account of the Foundation.
Production of this car will begin in the second half of next year, and the wider public will have the opportunity to meet him at the next Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. The first deliveries are expected in less than a year.
Finally, we add that the next 2019 McLaren Senna’s novelty will be BP23 with three seats. It will work on the so-called. the spiritual successor of the McLaren F1, and another member of the Ultimate Series (P1, P1 GTR and Senna), and from Woking reported that the entire series of this hyper-GT has already been sold. Otherwise, only 106 copies will be produced.
