After almost seven years, Porsche’s most popular off-road model, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne, made its debut in Europe. A brand new concept, with significant changes in its exterior and interior design, technology and technical characteristics that profiled it as a true five-door sports car, has kept the recognizable Porsche spirit and silhouette delighting and attracting new generations of generations.
Similar to Porsche’s sports cars by its characteristics, acceleration and driving dynamics, the new 2019 Porsche Cayenne, the third generation, is also top-notch-functional for both off-road driving and family use. Taking into account environmental protection, the German automaker has joined forces with Audi to put emphasis on gasoline engines that have better performance, but also reduced fuel consumption and emissions of exhaust gases.
The base model comes with a 3.0-liter single-turbo V-6 gasoline engine developing 340 horsepower, while the Cayenne S has a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 unit producing 440 horsepower. The first unit is good for top speed of 152 mph, reaching 60 mph in 5.8 seconds, while the second engine allows the SUV to reach the speed of 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, with top speed of 164 mph. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo model is powered by a more powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 petrol unit rated at 550 horsepower.
There are two diesel options also available: a 3.0-liter V-6 and a 4.0-liter V-8. We could also expect two plug-in-hybrid models in the near future, one with a 2.9-liter V-6 powertrain, and the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid that will be powered by 680-hp V-8.
The 2019 Porsche Cayenne follows the motto of the company: “Sportscar Together!”. The dream-team family got another sports member packed in an SUV vehicle. The exterior of the new model does not feature major changes, except in the look of the rear. On the other hand, the interior is completely new, in line with the Panamera model, with a digital medium console and much larger PCM (Porsche Communication Management) system, a 12.3-inch touch display. The new Cayenne has several new features that contribute to sporting features, as well as everyday functionality.

The console itself is another touchscreen. There’s a single analog gauge in the middle, surrounded by two 7-inch touch displays, providing tactile feedback when pressed and replacing the traditional buttons. Depending on the model, the 18-way sport seats can have upholstery made of different materials. The seats and steering wheel can also come with heating function, that could come in handy during winter. And for those customers who love to listen to the music while driving, the 710-watt Bose sound system is in charge of that.
If you are the kind of person that expect from a car to be an ideal combination of sports and family cars, if you love modern technology, and have a developed sense of environmental protection and are concerned with the emissions of exhaust gases, then the 2019 Porsche Cayenne SUV is the right vehicle for you.
It is so far the most perfect combination of the Porsche tradition with modern technology, which is expected to continue to be the market leader and pet of Porsche’s customers all over Europe. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne will be available for sale in Europe in mid-2018. We don’t have the pricing info at this moment. In the United States its base price will start at $66,750 and go up to $83,950. Of course, the Turbo model will also be available, and it will be priced at $125,650.
