2018 nissan frontier towing capacity

The 2018 Nissan Frontier Sentinel Concept was unveiled at the 2018 Sao Paolo Mortor Show. The car, which was conceptualized at the Nissan Brazil design studio, is designed for rescue missions in all imaginable and unimaginable terrains on the globe. The trucks killer design dwarfs Nissan’s mid-sized truck by far.

2018 Nissan Frontier Sentinel Concept Innovative Features

The versatile truck is packed with great innovative features for the most gruesome humanitarian missions. The vehicle comes with a highly versatile rear bed that is decked with shelves for such items as ropes, gloves, flashlights, toolboxes, batteries, helmets and axes, among other rescue gear. The snorkel has a small ‘sentinel’ logo, and a little yellow trim, definitely to ensure the theme is intact.

The Drone Pad

Among the truck‘s exciting features for rescue experts is the drone pad that can be flipped out to enable search drones to land or take off easily. Unfortunately, the truck doesn’t come with an actual drone. That would have really put it up there! Its emergency lighting systems ensure that in the darkest of the dark, and in the remotest of the remote, there is light when and where it matters most. Should the truck run into really deep waters, the snorkel system is at hand to get it out. It is installed on the driver’s front side A-pillar.

Exterior

Painted in thunder blue, with a yellow trim highlight, the truck stands out, not just in other brands, but even in Nissan’s other global models. Its colors were carefully chosen after those of Hyacinth Macaw, a South American parrot species. It is also not a coincidence that RenaultSport, the speedster by Renault, Nissan’s sister company, is painted in blue.

2018 Nissan Frontier Sentinel front bumper has a winch integrated into it. Its battery packs deliver auxiliary power to the truck in times of distress. There is a pair of outlets in the fender through which the power is released to power lights and tools. A much stronger roll bar runs across all sides of the cargo bed to ensure its composition is intact, especially when venturing out in dangerous territory.

The truck’s 16 inch wheels have yellow, clamp-on spokes that are quite funky. The wheels are fitted with all-terrain chunky tires.

Interior

2018 Nissan Frontier Sentinel interior has black leather seats with yellow piped trims and stitches to match the exterior. In the cabin, the same yellow trim shouts prominently: in the central armrest, on the dashboard, on the cupholders and central console.

The frontier layout is much fresher, more improved and more refined than the model of the previous generation.

Drivetrain

Nissan hasn’t revealed the truck’s 2.3 litre engine’s horsepower, but chances are that it produces 187 horsepower. This probable powerdul version also produces a torgue of 332 pound feet.

Suspension

Nissan hasn’t also revealed details about its suspension. We are not sure whether it comes with the stock suspension, or it has been modified to fit its purpose. 2018 Nissan Frontier Sentinel has a 9 inch ground clearance, and boasts of 33 and 27.9 degrees in approach and departure angles respectively. With an impressive 7,700 pounds of towing capacity, it slightly edges out the Colorado.

Price

Since it is not yet into production, we are not sure how much it could really go for. Definitely, fans out there are hoping that it hits the commercial production lines sooner than later.

2018 Nissan Frontier Sentinel Concept Bottomline
